Conley Janssen grew up moving around the United States as a “construction brat”, his youth summers were spent working on the family farm in central Minnesota. He attended 10 schools in 7 different states. This life led to a very diverse back ground and a natural respect for doing what it takes to accomplish a given mission. After one year at University Of Minnesota, Conley joined the United States Marine Corps and served actively for six years, “Once a Marine, Always a Marine”. Returning to the civilian world in 1993, he started his own small business of Janssen Fabricating to subcontract his skills to his employers. He worked full time for Willmar Electric, Motorola, Minneapolis Oxygen and Dunwoody Institute. In 1996 he married and started a family, they moved to Grand Rapids Minnesota in 1998. Since then, Janssen Fabricating Enterprises has been filling the need of an escape from the rigors of full time parenting and family maintenance. He is a firm believer in the power of community and is actively involved in the Itasca County area and serves on many community boards and non-profits. Being a lifelong learner and Christian he is especially active in the schools and churches of his area. Over the years, he has attended many leadership courses to include the Marine Corps, Blandin Community Leadership, Spitfire Strategies, and Lt Col Grossman Sheepdog training.
